Yesterday, Dec 31 2014, marked 5 months of being home from my European adventure. Since then, I've been really crummy at this blog thing. I didn't even finish my last post about my last 2 weeks in Europe! Very very quick summary...I spent 4 days on a road trip through Italy, Austria and Germany with Adam and Bex and saw some amazing things. Venice, Innsbruck, lots of places in Bavaria. They dropped me off in Germany to spend my last 10 days with my old roommate and friend Carina. I hung out with her and her family and saw some fun towns and cities and whatnot. Like I said, very very quick summary. If you want to see pictures...well, good luck.
In 2014 I stepped foot in 10 different countries. I'd say 11 but I never left the Zurich airport so I don't think that counts. But even with all that...all the countries, cities, castles, cathedrals, mountains, events, etc. there has been one thing very apparent. It's a lesson I've learned before but it was reiterated again this year. The most important things in life aren't things. My favorite memories of this year involve people. People I met this year, people who have been in my life for many years, family, friends...people. These relationships are the greatest treasures I take with me from 2014, and I look forward to new relationships in the years to come.
So, brace yourselves...here are a lot of pictures of what mattered most to me in 2014.
So there you have it. The best things that happened to me in 2014. Bring on 2015! New people, places, experiences, and taking new chances.
